Our Land Rover Defenders may not be the fastest but they get us from start to the finish and back home again!
2007: Moscow - Ulaanbataar 7400+ km / 15 days (Transsyberia Rallye)
Ulaanbataar - Frankfurt (IAA) 9000+ km / 7 days
Unlike other rally teams, our passion is not just rallye racing, but also the devolopment of new parts and concepts for mobile travel in difficult terrain.
The former pursuit has been taking up more and more time during the last years. From expeditions and the greenlane with friends on the weekend we got to smaller trophies and into competing in Rallye Raid events. Combining this enthusiasm with the pursuit of innovative designs we finally established "Wild Rhino Racing".
Together with a few friends I have started to build the first new concept car on the platform of a Land Rover Defender 130CC (Puma). First presented to the public in Bad Kisingen´s "Abenteuer & Allrad 2010" it has now just returned from the LRO Show in Billing (UK).
Until this site is updated you can find all the information about the bolt-on portals and the new suspension at the Expedition Portal
These new portal drop boxes have sofar been driven and tested for 5000 miles (on road) and 1000 miles (off road) without any problems. The truck is now available as fast-service truck for amateur teams competing in national and international events and as press car. Soon we will be able to also offer mobile satellite communication and three work terminals for press/media.
